A Warm Introduction

The only time I have ever had a blog was when I studied abroad my junior year of college so my family could keep up with my day-to-day. Reading it back years later, it was full of spelling errors, run-on sentences, and much too much "me." I cannot promise this will be any different but I can tell you why I am writing this. 

I love to travel and I always have. My grandmother always jokes that I used to say all I wanted to do was travel and "now you're doing it!" I have 2 children and my oldest is at the point where she will ask us where we are going anytime we drive passed the airport or if we pick her up early from school so I think we are doing a pretty great job of instilling the travel bug in them too. 

I work full time, as does my husband, so if you are hoping to read a blog about a family who travels non-stop that is definitely not us. What we do, however, is travel as much as we can, try to get hotel and airline status whenever possible, and take advantage of any deals we see out there. We also love to hike and be outside so I will for sure include any information about the best beaches, hikes, or trails we've been to!

When I am booking a flight on a new airline or researching where to stay, I try and look up what information is out there on the hotel, any member perks offered, and what are the best areas to stay in. If we are looking for a resort I also tend to find any information on the waterslides (if they have one!) and what the pool looks like because I'd be be lying if I said my kids cared about anything more. 

So that is what I hope to do. Be a resource for anyone trying to find this type of information about a specific area or hotel or even a flight!
